- My name is Dain Norman, I am a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, based out of the greater Seattle area in the PNW US, originally from the FL area. I am highly influenced by classic rock n' roll, namely the bands from the 60s "British Invasion" and also 1950s & 70s rock & soul. I spent my teenage years playing in bands and honing my skills in performance and audio production. In my early 20s, I embarked on a traveling journey as a vagabond, playing music on street corners, working random jobs anywhere I could find, and playing in bands all over the SE region of the US. One of my highlights from this time was playing in a reggae band called "Reggae Rockus" and playing the same event as Ziggy Marley and The Wailers in Gainesville, FL. I relocated to the PNW for a record label that I didn't end up signing with and made the trip out here into a DIY tour, playing at open mics and blues jams across the country, arriving with only $15 without a place to live. Since then, I started my band The Chrysalis Effect and have toured the PNW multiple times, releasing two EPs and two albums. I also now have two kids, a ten-year-old son, and a baby daughter. My latest full-length is a double album, mostly self-produced in my home studio, HelloJude Productions, titled "Shades Of Blue". A handful of the tracks, including the title track, we recorded at London Bridge Studios in the Seattle area, with co-owner and producer Jonathan Plum, who also co-produced many of the legendary Seattle grunge acts from the 90s. My music releases have received FM radio airplay on at least 30 FM stations and podcasts around the world, as well as being released by the UK-based label Aldora Britain Records. I am currently recording a new album titled "Sunbeam". You can find my music on all streaming platforms and social media sites.
